Each gamer will be dealt a card facing up at the beginning of a No Limit Texas Holdem game. Whoever has the highest card will get the dealer button. If two players get the highest card at the same time, then the player that was dealt first will get the dealer button. Then the dealer will deal towards his left-hand side and the cards get dealt in a clockwise fashion round the table.
Two cards facing down are dealt for each player by the dealer. The game begins with the player seated to the left of the player, with the dealer button posting the Small Blind. If you don’t know what a small blind is, it is a percentage of the Big Blind. The player on the left of the Small Blind should post the Big Blind. And if you don’t know what a Big Blind is, it is the original wager that all players must post in the first place if they ever want to "call" the blinds.
If all the gamers call the blinds, without raising it, three community cards, also known as the "flop", are dealt facing up. If a gamer raises the wager prior to the flop, then all players must in any case call that raise to continue in the play. Any gamer is allowed to raise a bet at any time when it is his or her turn.
The flop is then dealt after the wagering gets over. To assess the power of their hand, the gamers employ their two cards, pooled with all of the community cards that they can spot. The first player to bet is the one on the left of the dealer button. The gamer can wager any amount between the Big Blind and the amount of chips that player has left -- even though the wagering rules affirm that a player must at least double what he was to call to raise a wager, unless he is all in. The gamer can also “check”. If a player does the “check”, then he does not wager any of his chips and the chance to bet goes to the next player (the gamer to the player's left hand side). This player can either bet or check, and the game goes on in this fashion.
When such a betting round is over, the 4th community card, i.e. the turn card, is turned. And another betting round follows; the first player who is still in play to the button’s left goes first. Once this betting round gets over, the 5th and last card, the river, is turned over; and another last betting round follows. If everybody has left in the hand checks, or if the wager is called, then the left over gamers turn their cards. The gamer having the top hand - as per the poker hand rankings - wins all the chips in the pot. Every gamer builds his hand using the top five cards of the collective seven cards. When two or additional gamers have identical best hands at the finish, then those gamers divide the pot equally.
